I often read on my lunch breaks at work, as well as on the train to and from. Armed with my pen and stickies, I mark anything that has that could work in my story from geographic locations, names, dates, etc.

Here's a clue about the novel I've been working on. I just received this great resource and am excited to dive into it for research. Writing and research happen simultaneously for me. The key is to have a healthy balance of both!
Found Letter – Molly’s parents!
My dad was recently scanning old family photos and happened to find this letter hiding behind one of the cardboard framed engagement photos of Molly's parents in 1910. This letter is from Clarence Pitcher to Lillian right before they got married. P.S. 2 cent postage stamp in 1910!
